Return and Refund Policy for ArchTools Pro
1. Introduction and Corporate Ownership
Welcome to ArchTools Pro. We are dedicated to providing interior designers, architects, and digital artists with premium, industry-leading tools for the Procreate application. Before making any purchase, it is incredibly important that you read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined in this document.
Please be advised that ArchTools Pro is a subsidiary store that is entirely owned, operated, and managed by NOVUSTRA LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, product designs, digital assets, and website content, are strictly reserved and held exclusively by NOVUSTRA LLC. By conducting business with ArchTools Pro, you are entering into a binding agreement with NOVUSTRA LLC.
Because we specialize exclusively in the delivery of digital goods, our return and refund policies differ significantly from those of traditional retail stores that sell physical merchandise. This document serves as the definitive guide to our refund practices and your rights as a consumer.
2. Definition of Key Terms
To ensure absolute clarity and prevent any misunderstandings, the following terms used throughout this policy are defined as follows:
- The Company: Refers directly and exclusively to NOVUSTRA LLC, the parent company and legal entity governing this transaction.
- The Store: Refers to ArchTools Pro, the subsidiary digital storefront where the transaction takes place.
- Digital Products: Refers to any intangible asset sold on our platform, including but not limited to Brush Libraries, Textures, Interior Assets, Floor Plans, and Layout Essentials designed for use within the Procreate application.
- The Customer (or "You"): Refers to the individual, business, or entity that has initiated and completed a transaction on the ArchTools Pro website.
- Instant Download: Refers to the mechanism by which our digital products are delivered to you immediately upon the successful processing of your payment.
- Chargeback: Refers to a dispute filed by a customer directly with their credit card issuing bank or payment provider (such as PayPal or Stripe) in an attempt to forcibly reverse a transaction.
3. The Fundamental Nature of Digital Products
Unlike physical goods—such as clothing, electronics, or printed books—digital products cannot be physically returned once they have been delivered. When you purchase a physical item and decide you no longer want it, you can place it in a box, ship it back to the seller, and the seller can restock it and sell it to someone else.
This mechanism does not exist in the digital marketplace. When you purchase one of our Brush Libraries, Textures, or Floor Plans, a copy of the digital file is instantly generated and transferred to your personal device or computer. Once this file has been downloaded, it resides permanently on your hardware. There is no technological way for you to "return" the file that guarantees it has been permanently deleted from your system, your backup drives, or your cloud storage accounts.
Because we cannot verify the secure return of our intellectual property, and because our products are instantly accessible and usable the moment a purchase is completed, we must enforce strict guidelines regarding refunds.
4. Pre-Purchase Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth experience and minimize the need for refund requests, we place a strong emphasis on customer responsibility prior to completing a purchase. Before you click the final checkout button, it is your sole responsibility to ensure the following:
- Software Compatibility: You must verify that you own an Apple iPad compatible with the Apple Pencil. Furthermore, you must ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the Procreate application installed. Our tools are specifically designed for Procreate and will not work in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Clip Studio Paint, or any other graphic design software unless explicitly stated on the product page.
- Hardware Requirements: You must ensure your device has sufficient storage space to download and extract the ZIP files containing our digital assets. Some of our high-resolution Texture packs and comprehensive Interior Asset libraries are large files.
- Product Understanding: You must carefully read the product description, review the product images, and understand exactly what is included in the digital package.
- Skill Level: You must possess a basic, working knowledge of how to use the Procreate app, including how to import brushes, stamps, and image files.
5. The General Non-Refundable Policy
Due to the fundamental nature of digital goods and the pre-purchase responsibilities outlined above, all sales of digital products at ArchTools Pro are considered final and non-refundable.
Once a digital product has been purchased and the download link has been dispatched to your email address or made available in your customer account, we cannot issue a refund, offer an exchange, or grant store credit, except under a very specific, narrowly defined set of circumstances which are detailed in the subsequent sections of this policy.
This strict "no refunds" policy is a standard practice across the digital goods industry to protect creators and businesses from intellectual property theft and fraudulent activity. We appreciate your understanding and respect for the time, expertise, and effort that NOVUSTRA LLC invests into creating these professional-grade architectural tools.
6. Detailed Examples of Ineligible Refund Requests
To provide maximum clarity, we have compiled a list of common scenarios where a refund request will be immediately and unequivocally denied. We will not issue refunds under any of the following circumstances:
- Buyer's Remorse or Change of Mind: You purchased a product, downloaded it, and simply decided you no longer want it, or you changed your mind about your current design project.
- Lack of Software Compatibility: You purchased our Procreate brushes, but you use Adobe Photoshop, and you realize the files do not work on your computer. As stated, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct software.
- Lack of Hardware Compatibility: You purchased our tools but do not own an iPad, or you own an older generation iPad that does not support the current version of Procreate or the Apple Pencil.
- Insufficient Knowledge or Skill: You purchased our Floor Plan stamps or Layout Essentials but do not know how to import them into Procreate, or you do not know how to use the Procreate application itself. While we are happy to provide basic guidance, we are not responsible for providing fundamental software training.
- Accidental Purchases: You claim that a child, friend, or family member made the purchase on your device without your permission, or you claim you accidentally clicked the purchase button.
- Product Did Not Meet Subjective Expectations: You feel that a specific brush does not draw exactly the way you imagined, or a texture isn't quite the shade you wanted. Subjective dissatisfaction is not a valid ground for a refund, as we provide clear preview images and descriptions of all items.
7. Exceptional Circumstances for Refunds
While our general policy is strict, we are committed to fairness and excellent customer service. We recognize that technology is not perfect. ArchTools Pro, under the authority of NOVUSTRA LLC, will issue a full or partial refund only in the following exceptional situations:
-
Duplicate Purchases: If our payment gateway experiences a critical error and charges your credit card or PayPal account twice for the exact same digital product within the same transaction period, we will immediately refund the duplicate charge.
-
Non-Delivery of the Digital Product: If you successfully pay for a product, but our servers completely fail to deliver the download link, and our technical support team is unable to manually deliver the files to your provided email address within 72 hours of your initial complaint.
-
Critically Defective or Corrupted Files: If the file you download is corrupted, empty, or fundamentally broken, making it impossible to open or use in the Procreate app. Please note: You must first allow our technical support team the opportunity to fix the issue or provide a working replacement file. A refund will only be issued if we cannot provide a functional version of the product you purchased.
8. Product-Specific Guidelines
ArchTools Pro offers a variety of specialized tools. Here is how our policy applies to the specific categories of products we sell:
Brush Library
Our Procreate brushes are meticulously coded and tested. A refund will not be granted because a brush requires pressure sensitivity and you do not have an Apple Pencil, or because you wish to modify the brush's underlying code and cannot do so. Refunds for brushes are solely limited to corrupted .brushset files that our team cannot replace.
Textures
We provide high-resolution, seamless, and non-seamless textures. The resolution, dimensions, and file format (e.g., JPG, PNG) are clearly listed on the sales pages. Refunds will not be granted if you require a different resolution or format than what was advertised.
Interior Assets
These include digital stamps, furniture blocks, and decor elements. Because these are provided as static image files or Procreate stamp brushes, you are expected to understand how to scale and place them within your canvas. Difficulty in arranging the assets does not constitute a valid reason for a refund.
Floor Plans
Our digital floor plans and architectural templates are designed as foundational tools for your designs. They are not finalized, legally binding architectural documents. We do not offer refunds if the floor plans do not meet the specific, unique dimensions of a real-world building project you are working on, as they are templates designed for conceptualization.
Layout Essentials
These include grids, title blocks, and presentation layouts. These are provided strictly for the Procreate environment. We will not issue a refund if you attempt to export these complex, layered files into another software environment and lose the formatting in the process.
9. The Mandatory Technical Support and Troubleshooting Phase
Important Note: Under no circumstances will a refund for a "defective" or "corrupted" product be processed without first engaging with our technical support team.
If you experience an issue with your digital product, you must complete the following troubleshooting steps before even initiating a refund request:
- Verify Your Software: Ensure your iPad iOS and your Procreate app are updated to the latest available versions.
- Redownload the File: Delete the initial download from your device, clear your browser cache, and download the file again directly from the link provided in your receipt.
-
Check Extraction Tools: If the file is a
.zipfile, ensure you are using the native iPad Files app to uncompress it, rather than a faulty third-party unzipping application. - Contact Support: If the issue persists, you must email our support team at Support@ArchToolsPro.com. You must include your order number, the exact name of the product causing the issue, the version of Procreate you are using, the model of your iPad, and screenshots or screen recordings clearly demonstrating the error or failure.
Our technical support team will review your case. We reserve the right to take up to three (3) business days to investigate the issue and attempt to provide a solution, a workaround, or a replacement file. If, and only if, our team determines that the file is inherently defective and we are entirely unable to provide a working copy, a refund will be authorized.
10. Step-by-Step Refund Application Process
If you believe your situation falls strictly within the "Exceptional Circumstances" outlined in Section 7 of this policy, and you have fully completed the mandatory troubleshooting phase outlined in Section 9, you may formally request a refund by following these exact steps:
- Draft an email addressed to Support@ArchToolsPro.com.
- In the subject line of the email, write: "Formal Refund Request - Order #[Your Order Number]".
- In the body of the email, clearly state your full name and the email address used to make the purchase.
- Provide a detailed, comprehensive explanation of exactly why you are requesting a refund. State clearly which of the "Exceptional Circumstances" applies to your situation.
- Attach all relevant evidence. This includes previous correspondence with our technical support team, screenshots of error messages, or proof of a duplicate charge from your bank statement.
Failure to follow these instructions, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will result in the immediate denial of your refund request.
11. Processing Time and Method of Approved Refunds
If your refund request is officially approved by the management team at NOVUSTRA LLC, the following timelines and procedures will apply:
- Original Payment Method Only: All approved refunds will be strictly credited back to the exact original method of payment used to make the purchase (e.g., the specific credit card or the specific PayPal account). We cannot, under any circumstances, issue a refund via wire transfer, cash, check, or to a different credit card to prevent money laundering and fraud.
- Company Processing Time: Once we authorize the refund on our end, it may take up to three (3) business days for our payment gateway to process the reversal.
- Bank Processing Time: After we have processed the refund, your credit card company or bank will dictate how long it takes for the funds to actually appear on your statement. This typically takes anywhere from five (5) to ten (10) business days, but can sometimes take longer depending on your financial institution. ArchTools Pro and NOVUSTRA LLC have absolutely no control over your bank's internal processing times.
- Currency Fluctuations: If you purchased our products in a currency other than US Dollars (USD), the refunded amount may differ slightly from the original purchase amount due to daily fluctuations in foreign exchange rates. NOVUSTRA LLC is not responsible for any financial loss incurred due to currency conversion rates applied by your bank.
12. Strict Policy on Chargebacks and Fraud Prevention
NOVUSTRA LLC takes financial fraud and the theft of our digital property incredibly seriously.
If you bypass our support team and this refund policy by filing an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute directly with your credit card company, bank, or PayPal, we will consider this a breach of contract and a fraudulent attempt to obtain our digital products for free.
In the event of a chargeback:
- Your customer account with ArchTools Pro will be immediately and permanently suspended.
- Your download links and access to any past, present, or future purchases will be permanently revoked without notice.
- We will immediately compile evidence of your purchase, including your IP address, download logs (showing that the files were successfully delivered to and downloaded by your device), timestamped access records, and a copy of this legally binding policy, which you agreed to at checkout. We will submit this extensive evidence to the payment processor or bank to fiercely contest the chargeback.
- If a chargeback is executed fraudulently, NOVUSTRA LLC reserves the right to pursue further legal action or utilize third-party collection agencies to recover the lost funds and any associated administrative or legal fees incurred during the dispute process.
We strongly urge you to contact Support@ArchToolsPro.com to resolve any issues amicably before initiating a dispute with your financial institution.
13. Intellectual Property Protection and Post-Refund Obligations
In the rare event that a refund is granted, the transaction is effectively canceled, and your license to use the digital products is immediately and permanently revoked.
Upon receiving a refund, you are legally obligated to:
- Immediately delete all copies of the refunded digital products from your iPad, computer, external hard drives, cloud storage (such as iCloud, Dropbox, or Google Drive), and any other storage medium.
- Cease all use of the refunded assets in any personal, commercial, or professional projects.
Please be reminded that NOVUSTRA LLC strictly retains all copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights to all items sold on ArchTools Pro. Continued use, distribution, sharing, or modification of any digital product for which you have received a refund constitutes a direct violation of copyright law. NOVUSTRA LLC actively monitors the architectural and digital design landscape and will not hesitate to take aggressive legal action, including issuing Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices and pursuing litigation for damages against individuals or entities found to be illegally using our proprietary assets.
14. Limitation of Liability Pertaining to Purchases
By purchasing from ArchTools Pro, you acknowledge that NOVUSTRA LLC's total liability to you for any damages, losses, or causes of action arising from the purchase or use of our digital products shall not exceed the actual total amount paid by you for the specific digital product in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your ability or inability to use our products, even in the event that a refund is denied based on the stipulations of this policy.
15. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution
Because NOVUSTRA LLC is a registered entity in the United States, this Return and Refund Policy, and any disputes arising out of or related to your purchase from ArchTools Pro, shall be governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of, or related to, this policy or the digital products purchased shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located within the specific jurisdiction where NOVUSTRA LLC is registered. By agreeing to these terms at checkout, you waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.
16. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of this Return and Refund Policy is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the policy will continue in full force and effect. No waiver by NOVUSTRA LLC of any term or condition set out in this policy shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition.
17. Modifications and Updates to this Policy
NOVUSTRA LLC reserves the absolute right, at our sole discretion, to update, modify, revise, or completely replace this Return and Refund Policy at any time, without prior notice to you. Any changes made will become effective immediately upon the posting of the revised policy on the ArchTools Pro website.
It is your responsibility to review this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of the ArchTools Pro website or purchase of our products following the posting of any changes to this policy constitutes your explicit acceptance of those changes. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will always indicate when the policy was last modified.
18. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Regarding Refunds
To further assist you, we have compiled answers to the most common questions our support team receives regarding this policy:
Q: I bought the Interior Assets pack, but I don't like the style of the furniture. Can I get a refund? A: No. We provide extensive preview images on the product page showing exactly what styles are included. Subjective dissatisfaction with the aesthetic style of the assets is not a valid reason for a refund.
Q: I purchased the Brush Library for my Android tablet to use in a different drawing app. It doesn't work. Can I have my money back? A: No. Our product descriptions explicitly state that our tools are built exclusively for the Procreate app on Apple iPad devices. It is your responsibility to verify your hardware and software compatibility before checking out.
Q: I accidentally added the Floor Plans product to my cart twice and paid for both. What happens now? A: This qualifies under our "Exceptional Circumstances" for a duplicate purchase. Please contact Support@ArchToolsPro.com with your order number, and we will promptly refund the duplicate charge.
Q: The .zip file I downloaded won't open, and it says it's corrupted. Can I get a refund immediately? A: Not immediately. You must first contact our support team. Most often, this is caused by a poor internet connection during the download or using a bad third-party extraction app. We will help you troubleshoot or provide a fresh download link. If, after all our efforts, we determine the file we are hosting is fundamentally broken and cannot be replaced, only then will a refund be issued.
Q: If I get a refund, can I keep using the product for my personal, non-commercial projects? A: Absolutely not. A refund cancels your license. You must immediately delete all files. Using the files after a refund is intellectual property theft, and NOVUSTRA LLC will pursue action.
